An agent of the special services of Ukraine, detained in the territory of the Republic of Crimea, confessed to preparing a terrorist attack and told about the assembly of an explosive device. Footage of his interrogation was distributed by the FSB's Public Relations Center on June 3.

"I was offered to go to one of the villages at the coordinates and pick up two packages there, I took them. I was guaranteed that it would not explode," the detainee said.

He added that the packages contained all the main components for assembling an explosive device: a detonator, a remote control and others. After some time, the attacker took two more packages. Six months later, he was offered to assemble the device, after which they sent him a video with instructions.

"There's a fuse, a control panel, a detonator, something like that. I've put it all together on video. I was not limited in which place to hide it... I buried all this and reset the coordinates with the arrows where it lies," the SBU agent added.

He put the manufactured product in a cache located in the Balaklava district of Sevastopol.

The attacker was detained earlier that day. It was reported that a criminal case was opened in accordance with Article 275 of the Criminal Code ("High treason"), Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices"). The defendant was taken into custody.
