Two people died in a fire in an apartment building in St. Petersburg.


Two people became victims of a fire in a three-room apartment on the embankment of the Obvodny Canal in St. Petersburg. This was announced on June 3 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the city.
The fire occurred in an apartment of 130 sq. m.
"The situation was burned on an area of 45 square meters, and gorenje scaffolding on the facade of a residential building on an area of 65 square meters," — said in the Telegram channel of the department.
It is specified that 15 people, including one child, were evacuated from the danger zone. Two dead people were found at the scene of the fire. The fire alarm was received at 13:26. It was possible to localize the fire at 14:12.
Seven pieces of equipment and 27 personnel participated in the extinguishing.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that two men died in a fire in a two-room apartment in Novosibirsk. Experts are currently checking the scene and establishing the circumstances of the incident. Forensic examinations have been appointed and are being conducted to determine the cause of the ignition and death of residents.
