The court seized the property of the head of the Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense Protasov

The court seized the property of Andrey Protasov, head of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "27th Central Research Institute" of the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was reported on June 3 in the press service of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

They noted that the man is accused of receiving large and especially large bribes (paragraphs "b" of part 5 of art. 290 and Part 6 of art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

"In order to secure a verdict in terms of a fine, civil action and property penalties, Protasov's property was seized in the amount of more than 25 million rubles," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the investigation of the criminal case is under control at the Main Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

In April, it was reported that Protasov was charged with accepting bribes. According to the investigation, FSBI "27 Central Research Institute" executed contracts for the development of modern technologies. Protasov, in turn, oversaw the creation of an initiative scientific group, whose members were awarded incentive payments and received bribes from the institute's staff for their inclusion in the group. The court has chosen a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
