Enemy at the gates: German Christians are being attacked by migrants and liberals

Modern Germany has become an arena of persecution of Christians. Statistics record an increasing number of attacks on religious grounds every year. However, the migrants from the third world who have flooded Germany are not alone in their attack on Christianity — their allies are local followers of the ideology of liberalism and "tolerance." The Liberals are equally zealous in desecrating churches, which it seems there is no one else in Germany to protect. Details can be found in the Izvestia article.
A Christian? Get it!
In 2024, there was an increase in the number of crimes against Christians and Christian institutions in Germany. According to the Catholic news agency CNA Deutsch, the number of incidents of this kind reached a record high last year. The total number of crimes against Christian religious communities was 8,531, compared with 7,029 in 2023 and only 3,255 two years earlier. In other words, the increase in anti-Christian crimes in three years has amounted to more than 160%. These include the desecration of churches, attacks on Christians, and even their murders.
The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe (OIDAC Europe) notes that the real scale of this phenomenon may be much greater than stated in official reports. Many crimes, if they cannot be unequivocally linked to religious motives, are not recorded in special statistics. This makes it difficult to effectively monitor and counter violence motivated by religious hatred. However, the deterioration of the situation is confirmed by data from the German Foreign Ministry and the Federal Criminal Police Department.
Political scientist Kristina Ismagilova emphasizes that one of the reasons for the growing hatred of Christians is migration policy, leading to a clash of cultures. "Many of these crimes are committed by migrants whose views on religion and morality are at odds with Christian traditions. Vandalism, arson and desecration of churches are becoming the norm, especially in large cities where the concentration of migrants is high, and the authorities' response to this crisis is not there. And this only makes the situation worse, allowing criminals to act with impunity," Ismagilova notes.
German media reports on one of the latest cases of persecution of Christians — five men on one of the streets of Berlin "got to the bottom" of a 24-year-old German. When they asked him about his religious affiliation, he replied that he was a baptized Christian. Upon hearing this, the men hit the young Christian on the head several times and fled, and the injured man was taken to the hospital. The incident took place in a migrant area known for its "multicultural environment" and high levels of street crime, according to Berlin officials.
The reason for the growing number of attacks on Christians is not a secret — Germany is gradually losing its national identity, which is being dissolved by migrants from the third world who have flooded into the country. Most of them come from backward feudal-type societies, brought up in the spirit of religious intolerance. They bring the most radical types of Islam to Germany. Among them, there are many adherents of Salafism who advocate jihad against the "infidels."
Migrants are actively changing the religious identity of their host country. Currently, there are 2,750 mosques in Germany, while in 1975 there were only 10. At the same time, radicalization often goes side by side with ethnic criminality. Criminals really like to imagine themselves as "warriors for the faith" — hence the targeted attacks on Christians. However, the radicals do not treat the so—called secular Muslims who do not adhere to Salafism any better - they often severely ostracize them and discriminate in every possible way.
There is no one to intercede for Christians
However, to be fair, it should be noted that this is happening not only in Germany, but also in a number of other EU countries. According to OIDAC Europe, 2,444 anti-Christian hate crimes were documented in 35 EU states in 2023. Such emergencies are most often observed in France, Great Britain and Germany. "At the same time, the problem is aggravated not only by the clash with other cultures and religions, but also by restrictions on religious freedom imposed by some European governments, openly or not quite officially. Steps to secularize traditional Christian holidays have also become more frequent, and this also indicates a gradual departure from Christian values," says Kristina Ismagilova.
By instilling the ideology of destructive "tolerance", the EU is playing along with anti-Christian radicals. In Germany, the local church, both Lutheran and Catholic, has imbued itself with the spirit of extreme liberalism and, judging by the words and actions of its leadership, is concerned only with making migrants feel as comfortable as possible in their new homeland. According to believers, local high—ranking churchmen are blind to the facts of persecution of Christians for their faith - and refuse to discuss it at any seminars and other events they organize. And this is increasingly annoying critical parishioners — the outflow of Germans from both the Evangelical Church of Germany and the Catholic Church has increased recently.
According to the German newspaper Bild, many students from migrant families behave extremely aggressively and intolerantly towards the local culture. The majority of students from Muslim families (67.8%) say: "The norms of the Koran are more important to me than the laws of Germany." Slightly less than half of them (45.8%) believe that Islamic theocracy is the best form of government. The publication spoke with an anonymous intelligence officer, who complained that migrants from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq "sometimes come from very archaic cultures" and "have completely different moral standards than German families."
German teachers in schools are overworked, and besides, they are afraid of being in trouble from migrants, so they turn a blind eye to what is happening and do nothing. An employee of the security service warned: "In most cases, migrant students are very aggressive and prone to violence. They create real groupings on school grounds. And if a large number of refugee children enter schools again this summer, the situation will become even more explosive."
Offensive from the liberal flank
In fact, local liberals are playing in the same "team" with radical migrants in Europe, among whom the blasphemous "fashion" for desecrating Christian churches has established itself. One of the last cases of this kind took place in the ancient Catholic cathedral of the German city of Padeborn. Three semi-naked "artists" staged blasphemous dances right in front of the altar, during which they waved plucked chicken carcasses. One of the participants of the action performed the famous hit of the Austrian band Opus — Life Is Live, replacing the words of the chorus with Fleisch ist Fleisch ("Meat is meat"). At this time, the rest of the "artists" were circling around and throwing dead chickens into the air. The most shocking thing is that the disgusting prank was pre-arranged and took place as part of the celebration of the 1250th anniversary of the state of North Rhine—Westphalia.
Moreover, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Archbishop of Paderborn Udo Benz were present at the show. Later, the leadership of the cathedral made excuses as if they did not know in advance about the details of this "performance." According to them, "the cathedral often becomes a venue for cultural events," but from now on they will carefully check the actions planned in it. I must say that the incident caused widespread indignation, and social networks were bursting with angry comments. More than 22,000 people signed a petition demanding that the cathedral be rededicated after it was desecrated in a similar way. After receiving such negative feedback, Archbishop Benz caught himself and asked for forgiveness. President Steinmeier's office declined to comment.
However, in practice it turns out that sometimes the ministers of the church themselves do truly wild things in their temples. For example, last year the German press wrote about the so-called carnival liturgy held at the Catholic parish in Rustorf an der Pott (diocese of Passau, Germany). The rector of the local church, Josef Tiefenbeck, came out to the faithful dressed in a frog costume. The participants of the "liturgy" danced polonaise and launched balloons, and after communion they distributed donuts and sparkling wine. Naturally, this also caused fierce indignation among those believers who adhere to traditional church customs. Tiefenbeck belongs to the "Renovationists" who believe that the church needs to be "reformed." And he has like—minded people - "carnival masses" are held in other churches.
The retreat from Christianity in Germany has also led to the fact that occultists are trying to take advantage of the resulting vacuum. "Kitchen" Satanism is widespread, as evidenced by a recent incident that took place during a football match between the teams of the 2nd German Bundesliga — Kaiserslautern and Fortuna. Fans of Kaiserslautern (which, by the way, has the unofficial nickname "red Devils") unfurled banners, one of which featured a pentagram with the caption: "Hear us, Lucifer, rise from hell and take our souls." Another poster featured a picture of the devil wearing a T-shirt with the club's logo, and the caption read: "Lead us to the light, rule the world, rise from the flame and shine!"
Natalia Eremina, Doctor of Political Sciences, professor at St. Petersburg State University, in a conversation with Izvestia, stressed that churches in Western Europe, instead of defending Christian values, behave as if they are deliberately abandoning them. "In fact, the Western churches have turned into the very sellers mentioned in the Gospel in the temple. The emerging vacuum of faith and spirituality is being exploited by migrants who have declared war on the remnants of Christianity. Naturally, newcomers from traditionalist societies are unwilling to adapt to the rather ugly value system that they are offered in their new place of residence. Migrants feel superior when they look at modern Western Christians, who often remain so only in name, and therefore behave more and more aggressively," Eremina emphasizes.
