Andreeva and Schneider reached the semifinals of the doubles tournament at Roland Garros

Russian tennis players, silver medalists of the Olympic Games in Paris Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider have reached the semifinals of the doubles tournament of the French Open Roland Garros. The match took place on June 3 on the clay courts of Paris.

During the 1/4 finals, Andreeva and Schneider (seeded fourth) beat the duo of Russian Anastasia Potapova and Serbian tennis player Olga Danilovich in two sets. The game lasted 1 hour and 23 minutes and ended with the score 6:3, 7:5.

Andreeva and Schneider will compete against Italian athletes Sara Errani and Yasmin Paolini, who lost in the final of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Sport-Express adds.

On June 2, Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova lost to American Coco Gauff and failed to reach the quarterfinals of Roland Garros. In the fourth round match, Alexandrova lost with a score of 0:6, 5:7. The meeting lasted one hour and 23 minutes.

The total prize fund of the Grand Slam Roland Garros tournament is €56.352 million. The competition runs from May 25 to June 8.
