Spartak has extended the contract with Serbian national team defender Babic.

Spartak Moscow football club has extended the contract with Serbian national team defender Srdjan Babic until 2027. This was announced on June 3 by the FC press service.

"Officially, Spartak has extended the contract with Babich until 2027 with the possibility of extending it for another season," the club's Telegram channel says.

Babich joined Spartak in the summer of 2023. In two seasons at the club, the footballer played 55 matches, in which he scored five goals.

According to the results of the Russian Championship-2024/25, Spartak took the fourth place in the standings with 57 points, adds Sport-Express.

On May 30, according to the financial report of the Russian Football Union (RFU), it became known that Spartak beat CSKA Moscow and became the most unprofitable club in the Russian Premier League (RPL). It was clarified that Spartak's loss amounted to 2.61 billion rubles before taxes, which is the worst indicator in the league.
