Likhachev called the situation at the Zaporizhia NPP difficult

The situation at the Zaporizhia NPP is very difficult, but it is under control. This was announced on May 3 by Alexey Likhachev, head of the Rosatom State Corporation.

"We all understand that as the negotiation process escalates, various kinds of provocations by the Kiev regime will increase. <...> A drone missile strike was launched in the Zaporizhia region. Unfortunately, it affected Energodar," Likhachev said after the plenary session of the Digital Industry of Industrial Russia (CIPR) conference.

According to the head of Rosatom, the power transmission line supplying the city was almost completely destroyed. Thus, the situation in the area of the Zaporizhia NPP is under control, but it is very difficult.

"I want to reassure you right away, there were no arrivals at the station. There are drones hundreds of meters away, a kilometer away, they are getting lost," he added.

On May 25, the ZAES press service reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had fired on the territory next to the station on the day of the IAEA experts' rotation.
