Midfielder and four-time Russian football champion Alexey Sutormin has left the Zenit football club from St. Petersburg. This was announced on June 3 by the team's press service.

"Together with Zenit, Universal became a four—time champion of Russia, won the Cup and four Super Cups of the country," Zenit's Telegram channel says

The footballer spent the last season at FC Rostov. There he played in 32 matches, scored two goals and one assist.

On June 2, Zenit extended the contract with Andrey Arshavin, who holds the position of Deputy chairman of the board for sports development of the St. Petersburg team. Arshavin played for Zenit in 1999-2008 and 2013-2015. He later ended his sports career and took over as deputy chairman of the board in January 2022.
