The father of the girl who died in the fountain near Belgorod told the details of the incident

The girl who died in the contact fountain in the Belgorod region was playing with her friend at the time of the tragedy. Konstantin Kozmin, the girl's father, told Izvestia about this on June 3.

"I was running, playing with my girlfriend in the fountain. My girlfriend was standing in a dry place at that moment," he explained.

The man added that his daughter died due to electric shock, which was confirmed by the autopsy results.

The fountain where the tragedy occurred was opened just over a month ago. Oleg Medvedev, the head of the Yakovlevsky City District administration of the Belgorod Region, announced this on April 30 on his page on the VKontakte social network.

On June 3, upon the death of the girl, the investigation opened a criminal case under the article on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
