Interior Ministry investigators questioned the driver who hit a motorcyclist in St. Petersburg.

Interior Ministry investigators are interrogating Rolls-Royce driver Sergei Sosorev, who hit a motorcyclist in St. Petersburg. This was announced on June 3 by a source of Izvestia.

It is noted that the suspect himself came to the investigation department. A criminal case was opened against him under articles related to attempted murder, violation of traffic rules, and vehicle operation. As later indicated in the regional Investigative Committee, the man was detained on the basis of Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.

A tragic accident involving a Rolls-Royce and a motorcycle occurred on June 1 at the intersection of Peterhof Highway and Admiral Tributs Street in St. Petersburg. The next day, the victim informed Izvestia about the need for surgery.

According to an eyewitness to the accident, Sosorev first ran over the motorcyclist with the front wheels, then the rear. After the incident, the driver and passenger of the Rolls-Royce approached the victim and began to hide their tracks. They did not provide assistance to the motorcyclist. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
