MTS has announced the launch of its own cloud platform

MTS Web Services (MWS), part of the MTS Group, has announced the launch of its own public cloud platform, the MWS Cloud Platform, in preview mode. The presentation took place during CIPR-2025.

The development is an ecosystem of infrastructure and network services, tools for data storage and processing, PaaS services and solutions.

At launch, six services are available: object storage, virtual machines and disks, CDN for content delivery, virtual cloud networks, and additional tools. By the end of the year, the number of services will increase to 15. These will be platform solutions for developers and IT departments of companies - services for managing Docker images and Kubernetes clusters, as well as ClickHouse, Kafka, and PostgreSQL databases.

"We are building one of the largest bigtechs in Russia — MTS Web Services. Achieving this goal is impossible without synergy and mutual integration of different technologies," said Igor Zarubinsky, CEO of MWS Cloud and Vice President for Infrastructure Development at MTS.

He stressed that without a reliable virtual infrastructure, it is impossible to successfully bring most advanced services to the market. In addition, MTS expects that the MWS Cloud Platform will allow the company to significantly strengthen its position in the cloud market.

"We are building a platform from scratch, using the best international practices. This allows us to take into account the needs of MWS and flexibly customize it to meet the needs of our customers and market trends," said Zarubinsky.

MTS expects that the platform's services will allow Russian companies to host and process data of any volume with unlimited scale, create websites and applications, deploy internal IT systems and disaster-resistant solutions.
