Flood waters made it difficult to travel on the roads of Yakutia

In Yakutia, transportation is difficult on federal and national roads due to rising meltwater levels. Contractors are on duty in all flooded areas.
On the regional Amga road, water rise was recorded between the villages of Eldikan and Solnechny, as well as between the villages of Ust-May and Petropavlovsk. After the water subsides, restoration of the flooded canvas will be required. Sections on 660 and 665 km in Verkhnevilyuysky ulus were flooded on the Vilyui highway. This is reported by IA YakutiaMedia. The reason for the rise in water was, among other things, releases from the Vilyuyskaya HPP. This also led to a change in the location of ferry berths on the Vilyu River near the village of Verkhneviluysk. Currently, three ferries are operating, and congestion is observed due to the increased distance between the berths.
On the Kolyma highway between the villages of Harbala-2 and Kyyi, traffic difficulties are associated with damage to the roadway. The road was damaged as a result of vehicles traveling in violation of the permissible mass. Passage is secured, but additional repairs are planned.
