A meeting of the organizing committee of the III International Falcon Day Forum was held in Moscow, chaired by Murad Kerimov, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant federal executive authorities and heads of regions of the Russian Federation.

The Forum will be held on September 3, 2025, on the opening day of the Eastern Economic Forum, on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Kamchatka Territory, the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia, and the Roszapovedcenter. The operator of the forum is the Roscongress Foundation.

The meeting discussed the key directions of the organization of the event in 2025. Special attention was paid to the expansion of the forum's membership. The participation of foreign speakers from the countries of the falconry habitat and the states that have adopted the Framework Declaration of Intentions for the Conservation of the Gyrfalcon population is planned. This year, the organizers of the forum plan to expand the number of representatives from the centers for the reintroduction and conservation of rare bird species, including inviting representatives of foreign nurseries from the Middle East to participate.

"For two years in a row, the International Falcon Day Forum has been opening the business program of the launch day of the Eastern Economic Forum. Every year we make significant progress in implementing the key objectives of the forum — in developing and supporting cultural and humanitarian ties between Russia and the Persian Gulf countries, in concentrating joint efforts to preserve falconid birds, as well as in developing a comprehensive plan to structure and develop a legal market for the export of rare species of game birds," the presidential adviser emphasized. Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the organizing Committees for the preparation and holding of the WEF and the Falcon Day Forum.

The participants of the meeting of the organizing committee considered the issues of forming the business and exhibition programs of the forum.

On September 3, the joint pavilion of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and the Government of the Kamchatka Territory "House of the Falcon" will reopen at the exhibition "Street of the Far East" of the Eastern Economic Forum. His exposition will introduce the guests of the exhibition to the rarest falcons, threats to their populations and support measures, as well as other representatives of the Red Book of the Russian Federation and specially protected natural territories of the Far East.

In addition, the Arab Village at the Far East Street exhibition, a stylized exhibit in the format of Bedouin tents organized jointly with partners from the United Arab Emirates, will traditionally be the exhibition area of the forum. It is planned that in 2025 the format of the Arab village will be transformed into a country exhibition, where the countries participating in the Framework Declaration will acquaint guests with the national culture and traditions of the Middle East countries and present their country specifics.

Special importance is attached to the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain, a guest country of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held on June 18-21, 2025, in the events of the forum. A visiting session of the international forum "Falcon Day" "Rational Use of Natural resources: contribution to biodiversity conservation" is planned on the sidelines of the SPIEF with the participation of key Arab partners, as well as representatives of the governments of the Kamchatka Territory and the Republic of Kalmykia.

The events of the business program of the III International Falcon Day Forum will be devoted to the exchange of experience in the development of breeding, rehabilitation and reintroduction centers, in modern methods of restoring natural populations, as well as advanced scientific technologies for studying and monitoring populations of birds of prey.

The central event of the forum will be a plenary session, which will address priority issues related to the conservation of birds of the Falconidae and Drophinae families, as well as the development of falconry. Following up on the topic, the meeting participants discussed the implementation of the initiative of the Roscongress Foundation and the Kamchatka Falconry Center to create a professional falconry federation that will be engaged in the revival of falconry, tournaments, and festivals.

The International Falcon Day Forum is a key expert platform for a comprehensive dialogue and exchange of experience among representatives of relevant departments of Russia and foreign countries, international experts and scientists specializing in the protection of predatory and rare bird species requiring special protection measures.
