Fires have engulfed 5.2 thousand hectares of forests in the Khabarovsk Territory. This is reported by IA AmurMedia with reference to information from the Ministry of Forestry and Timber Processing.

A total of four fires were registered. The largest fire is observed near the village of Etyrken. Its area is about 4 thousand hectares, while the size of the hearth has remained the same over the past day.

Two fires are being extinguished in the Khabarovsk region. In addition, one fire with an area of 25 hectares was extinguished during the day.

132 people and 11 pieces of equipment are involved in fighting the fire, four helicopters and airplanes are involved. A fire danger regime is in effect in all forest districts.

Since the beginning of the fire season, 94 forest fires have occurred in the Khabarovsk Territory. Their area exceeded 45 thousand hectares.

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, rescuers prevented the spread of 13 forest fires on an area of 183 thousand hectares.
