A child drowned while swimming in a river in Primorsky Krai

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case into the death of an 11-year-old child in Primorsky Krai. The boy was swimming without adult supervision.

The tragedy occurred on June 2 on the territory of Lesozavodsk. According to the preliminary version, the bathing area was not equipped, there were no warning signs about the prohibition of bathing. The child entered the water and drowned, writes IA PrimaMedia.

Investigators are interviewing possible eyewitnesses. A search is underway for the child's body.

At the end of May, a 16-year-old girl drowned while swimming in Blagoveshchensk (Amur region). Her friend was rescued by eyewitnesses.
