At least two people have been killed in an explosion in Uganda's capital, Kampala. The New Vision newspaper reported on this on June 3.

"A bomb was allegedly detonated near the Monyone Shrine in Kampala. Local media reported two deaths at the scene," the publication says.

At the moment, security personnel are conducting an investigation. They did not give any official comments.

Earlier, on May 30, it was reported that five people were killed and 34 injured in an explosion at a firecracker factory in India. It is specified that most of the workers were migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
