- The US ambassador to Turkey pointed to Trump's "end of patience" on the conflict in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has reached the "end of his patience" regarding the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on June 3 by Thomas Barrack, the Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy for Syria, as quoted by the Star newspaper.
Barrack expressed the opinion that now "Trump's patience has come to an end" regarding the Russian-Ukrainian <conflict>, the newspaper writes.
The Ambassador also noted that the Turkish side plays a key role in the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and is an important mediator in establishing a dialogue between Moscow and Kiev.
On May 26, The New York Times reported that the American leader had shown his intention to distance himself from participating in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Prior to that, Forbes politician and editor-in-chief Steve Forbes said that if Trump withdraws from the negotiation process between Moscow and Kiev, it would mean Ukraine's surrender.
