Five police officers were killed in an attack by an armed group on a patrol in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas. This was announced on June 3 by the prosecutor's office of the region, citing the Attorney General of the state, Jorge Luis Llaven Abarca.

According to him, a group of civilians carried out an armed attack, which resulted in the death of law enforcement officers.
