A pilot project to limit phishing sites will be launched in Russia.

Starting from June 4, Russia will launch a pilot project to restrict access to phishing sites that are used by fraudsters to steal data. This was announced by the government's press service on June 3.
"Starting from June 4, 2025, a pilot project is being launched in Russia to restrict access to phishing sites and applications that are created under the guise of official websites of government agencies and companies," the Telegram channel says.
The project was created to identify and block fake Internet resources and applications that use a government agency, company, or bank domain name similar to the real one.
It is specified that the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Tax Service, Rospatent, the Bank of Russia and the Prosecutor General's Office will participate in the implementation of the program. The pilot project will be completed on March 1, 2026.
Earlier, on May 18, the Department for Combating the Illegal use of information and Communication Technologies (UBK) of the Russian Interior Ministry reported that fake investment platforms, fake online stores and sex service sites are among the most common types of phishing resources on the Internet. The agency recommended that you do not follow links from mail, SMS or messengers without verifying their authenticity and carefully check the URLs of sites.
