Microsoft, a computer software company, has laid off more than 300 employees to compensate for expenses. This was reported by Bloomberg on June 3.

It is specified that this reduction was in addition to the large-scale layoffs of about 6 thousand people that occurred in May. According to the publication, in this way the corporation can hire more experts in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), which has become a priority for Microsoft.

"We continue to implement organizational changes necessary for the best positioning of the company in a dynamic market," the agency quoted a company representative as saying.

Bloomberg reported on May 29 that Microsoft shares approached a historic high, overcoming a period of recession, thanks to the restoration of the Azure cloud platform. According to the agency, Microsoft's 9% growth this year has surpassed the shares of the so-called "Magnificent Seven" technology giants, which include Apple Inc., Nvidia Corp., Alphabet Inc., Amazon.com Inc., Meta Platforms Inc (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) and Tesla Inc.
