- After the drone strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the regions of Russia, Trump called on the parties to negotiate

US President Donald Trump called on Moscow and Kiev to resolve the conflict through negotiations after the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched drone strikes in the regions of the Russian Federation. This was announced on June 2 by White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.
"The president wants this conflict to end at the negotiating table, and he has made this clear to both leaders (Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian Leader Vladimir Zelensky. — Ed.) both publicly and privately," Sky News quoted her as saying.
She also stressed that only Trump can comment on the tightening of sanctions against Russia within the framework of the bill of the American Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (included in the list of terrorists and extremists in Russia), which was supported by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on May 28.
Leavitt said on the same day that Trump was open to a possible meeting with Putin and Zelensky. She also declined to give an assessment of the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, stressing that Trump would personally comment on this later.
