The United States has no chance of "economic survival" without the ability to quickly impose retaliatory import duties. This was announced on June 2 by the American leader Donald Trump.

"If other countries are allowed to apply duties against us, and we are not allowed to respond quickly and deftly with similar measures, our country will not have the slightest chance of economic survival," he wrote on the Thuth Social network.

On June 1, Trump said that if the imposed import duties were lifted by an American court, the country's economy would face severe consequences. According to him, the United States may become "hostages" of other countries due to anti-American tariffs.

On May 29, the U.S. Court of Appeals reinstated Trump's trade duties. At the same time, the new resolution does not contain any specific definitions.
