The entire Zaporizhia region is de-energized due to damage to high-voltage equipment as a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on June 2 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.

"As a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, high-voltage equipment in the northwestern part of the Zaporizhia region was damaged. There is no electricity throughout the region," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

The Ministry of Energy of the region was instructed to prepare backup sources of electricity as soon as possible, the governor added. He also noted that medical institutions are already operating at reserve capacities.

Evgenia Yashina, Director of Communications at the Zaporizhia NPP, said that the plant was operating normally, and the power outage in the region due to the attack by Ukrainian drones had no effect on its operation, TASS reports.

The Governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported on June 2 that two people were injured as a result of an APU strike on civilian vehicles. He clarified that residents received shrapnel wounds and were taken to medical facilities.
