On June 3, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of the Russian military in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

Thus, the ministry noted the actions of the guard sergeant of the second article Gleb Filin, who, as part of a group of three people, carried out a combat mission to equip mine-explosive barriers in one of the likely offensive directions of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). During the advance to a given point, Filin's sapper group was subjected to mortar fire from the enemy. Despite this, the group boldly continued to move towards the goal. Having reached the specified coordinates, they quickly and imperceptibly mined the area with anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, where the passage of heavy enemy equipment was supposed.

A few days later, Ukrainian militants attempted to storm the positions of the Russian Armed Forces, however, having lost some people and several pieces of equipment in the mined area, they returned to their original positions. Thanks to the bold and decisive actions of the guard sergeant major of the second article Filin, it was possible to protect the positions of Russian units from the breakthrough of enemy heavy equipment and infantry.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the actions of Guard Sergeant Elman Sapogin, who, together with a group of Russian servicemen entrusted to him, carried out the task of storming a carefully fortified stronghold of Ukrainian militants in one of the tactical directions. Having stealthily approached him, the stormtroopers took up positions. Sapogin competently built a fire system, taking into account the terrain features, and identified the firing sectors, after which he gave the command to storm. The enemy defended themselves for several hours under heavy fire, after which they returned fire from a camouflaged machine-gun position.

Having assessed the situation, Sapogin moved to the front line and, using a hand grenade launcher, destroyed the enemy's machine-gun emplacement with an accurate shot. Having lost most of their forces, the enemy retreated. Thanks to the bold and decisive actions of Sergeant Sapogin's guard, as well as the courage and coordinated actions of his subordinates, the Russian military were able to inflict significant damage on the enemy and capture an important stronghold.
