An AI service for ecomonitoring has been added to the Russian software registry

MTS has added its own development with artificial intelligence for environmental supervision to the unified register of domestic software. The Proactive Environmental Risk Management System service will allow monitoring air and water quality, the company said on the sidelines of CIPR-2025.
The system is a software part of the MTS Ecomonitoring complex, which allows continuous monitoring of the environmental situation and prevention of violations. Currently, the service is also undergoing the procedure of entering into the register of AI solutions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The service is based on big data analysis and mathematical calculations. To predict pollution, the system uses proven models that have been used in practice for more than 30 years: the MPRZ of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, WRF/FLEXPART and GFS/FLEXPART.
"The system reacts to exceeding the permissible norms and predicts a negative impact on the environment in 48 hours, which avoids losses for enterprises in the amount of 34.4 to 370 million rubles annually," said Olesya Sukhanos, head of the MTS Ecology Center. She said that ecomonitoring from MTS has already been launched in Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl, Irkutsk regions and Yakutia.
The initial data for mathematical modeling are data from measuring equipment, information about sources of pollutant emissions, and other parameters. The platform is compatible with equipment from Russian manufacturers, which accelerates the implementation of projects. All devices are certified and regularly undergo verification, MTS emphasized.
