The White House announced Trump's readiness for a meeting with Putin and Zelensky.

US President Donald Trump is open to a possible meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, but prefers to see bilateral peace talks between Moscow and Kiev. On June 2, White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt told reporters at a briefing.
"President [Trump] has stated that he is open to this (meeting. — Ed.), if it comes to that. However, he wants both of these leaders, both of these sides to sit down at the [negotiating] table together," the White House press service's news account on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
A White House spokeswoman declined to give an assessment of the second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, saying that Trump would do so later.
"As for what feelings the president has about these negotiations, about what took place there, I will leave it to him to speak on this matter," she said.
On May 17, Trump denied in an interview with Fox News that Russia was not fully involved in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, the American leader stated that Zelensky had no trump cards in his negotiating position on a peaceful settlement.
