A five-year-old girl died in a fall from the ninth floor in Astrakhan.
An investigation is underway in Astrakhan into the death of a five-year-old child who fell out of the window of a multi-storey building. This was announced on June 2 by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
According to preliminary data, the tragedy occurred in a house on Sofya Perovskaya Street in the Kirovsky district. The girl leaned on the mosquito net and fell out of the window of the apartment located on the ninth floor.
"At that time, the child's mother went out to the store. The girl died from her injuries at the scene," the department's Telegram channel said.
The Investigative Department also called on parents to be vigilant and reminded them of the need to restrict children's access to windows, balconies and install protective devices that can prevent tragedies.
On the same day, it was reported that a two-year-old girl died when she fell from an apartment window on the ninth floor of a residential building on Krasny Kazanets Street in the capital's Veshnyaki district. It is specified that the incident occurred on June 1. The girl was born in 2023.
