The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of a resident of Nefteyugansk in a fire.

A check on the death of a person in a fire has been organized in Nefteyugansk (Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra). This was announced by the SU IC of Russia for the district on Monday, June 2.

The fire occurred on the night of June 1 in one of the apartments in a nine-storey building in the 13th microdistrict. As reported by the news agency "Hurrah.According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, by the time rescuers arrived, the superstructure above the entrance group was engulfed in fire.

During the firefighting, firefighters found the body of the 44-year-old owner of the apartment. A 34-year-old man who was in the same apartment was also hospitalized in a medical facility.

The Investigative Committee organized a check on the incident. Based on its results, a decision will be made to institute a criminal case.

It is noted that 16 people and three pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. 21 people, including a child, evacuated from the burning nine-story building on their own, and 11 more people, including three children, were taken out by arriving firefighters.
