The Russian Embassy in London called the accusations from the UK ridiculous.

Russia does not pose a threat to the UK and its population, does not harbor aggressive plans and is not going to attack the United Kingdom. Such accusations by the British government sound ridiculous. The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the Russian Embassy in London on June 2.
The Russian embassy reportedly rejects the British government's accusations of alleged economic aggression and daily attacks on the country.
"The Embassy categorically rejects these false and ridiculous accusations. <...> Both at sea, in the air, and in the digital space, Russia has consistently demonstrated responsible behavior in full compliance with international law. London has never bothered to provide evidence to the contrary, because there is none," the document says.
The embassy also called for the lifting of sanctions imposed on Russia, which harm the UK economy, and for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
Earlier in the day, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that London was switching to "war readiness" mode as part of its new defense strategy. In addition, the British prime minister said that the country would "introduce innovations and accelerate them at the pace of wartime."
