The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, and her colleague, the press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, Ruslan Varankov, at regular consultations in Moscow on information support for foreign policy and work with the media on June 2, came to the conclusion that it is best to promote objective information with an axe-cleaver from the Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ).

"The consultations were so productive that upon their completion Ruslan Nikolaevich handed me a Belarus cleaver produced by the Minsk Tractor Plant. With such a tool, we will now cut the truth even harder," the diplomat wrote on her Telegram channel.

Zakharova added that at the meeting with Varankov she discussed the fight against disinformation and fakes, joint projects in the historical field, as well as the work of media representatives of the two countries. The press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that during the inter-ministerial consultations, the parties reached agreements on information issues.

"Ruslan Varankov and Maria Zakharova discussed specific joint projects and plans to promote objective information about Union construction," the agency's VKontakte page says.

They also added that the first agreement was reached and accepted for implementation: "to cut the truth together with the Belarusian MTZ axe," attaching a photo of representatives of departments with an impressive-sized construction tool in their hands.

On April 5, Zakharova pointed out that the expulsion of Russia and Belarus from celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II in Germany was a blatant insult. The diplomat clarified that German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock and her staff continue to "recreate the inhuman practices used by the Nazis." According to her, the expulsion of Russians, Belarusians and former Soviet citizens, including Jews, from the events can be called the revival of Nazism.
