Russia has offered Ukraine to cease fire in certain sectors of the front

During the talks in Istanbul, Russia proposed to Ukraine to declare a two- or three-day truce in some sectors of the front to collect the bodies of the dead. This was announced on June 2 by the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky.
"We have specifically proposed a ceasefire for two or three days in certain sectors of the front. This will now be worked out by our military specialists with the Ukrainians," he said.
The head of the delegation stressed that a cease-fire, including the cessation of drone strikes, is necessary in order to allow the military to remove the bodies of the dead from neutral territory.
"There are a lot more of their soldiers in this grey area. We want to create conditions for these bodies of the dead to be collected. And they were quickly transferred for Christian burial," Medinsky added.
Earlier in the day, Medinsky said that Ukraine had handed over to the Russian Federation its version of the memorandum on the settlement of the conflict. He stressed that the document was submitted in Ukrainian and English.
The head of the Russian delegation also said that Moscow would unilaterally transfer 6,000 bodies of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to Kiev. He also said that during the negotiations, the delegations agreed to exchange the seriously injured and sick according to the all-for-all formula.
