The number of injured when hitting a crowd of fans in Liverpool has increased to 109 people. The Merseyside County Police informed about this on June 2.

"Currently, the number of injured reaches 109 people. Four people remain in the hospital, where they are being treated for their injuries," the police said on their official website.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. At the moment, law enforcement agencies are collecting eyewitness accounts.

The accident became known on May 26. A car drove onto Water Street into a crowd of people celebrating Liverpool's victory in the Premier League. Later, on May 29, it was reported that the hit-and-run Briton Paul Doyle was charged with dangerous driving and intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.
