GAC will present the updated GS8 crossover in Russia

GAC is preparing a facelift for a large seven-seat GS8 crossover. This was reported to Izvestia on June 2 at the Russian representative office of the brand.
"The updated version will have an exterior similar to that of the hybrid version. The official premiere of the new GS8 version will take place in the near future," the GAC press service said.
Currently in Russia, the GAC GS8 crossover is presented in two exterior versions — standard and Traveller, which is made in a more off-road style. Externally, the GS8 hybrid modification differs from them. Such a crossover has a different design of the front part — the radiator grille stretches from the edge of the hood to the edge of the bumper in the style of a GAC M8 minivan. Chrome trim panels appeared on the bumpers.
The five-meter GAC GS8 is offered on the Russian market in five trim levels at a price of 4.1 million to 4.95 million rubles (excluding benefits and discounts). The model is available with a 231-horsepower two-liter turbo engine and an eight-speed Aisin automatic. The all-wheel drive system is based on the Borg Warner electromagnetic clutch, which independently redistributes the torque between the axles, depending on the traffic situation.
On May 12, it became known that GAC plans to launch the GAC S7 hybrid premium crossover on the Russian market, it is built on a new modular platform created specifically for hybrid and electric models. The length of the novelty is 4900 mm with a wheelbase of 2880 mm. The pure electric power reserve of the single—wheel drive version is 205 km, and the fully autonomous mileage is 1,150 km.
