Orban urged to prepare for a long conflict in Ukraine
The conflict in Ukraine may drag on for a long time. This was announced on June 2 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"The military actions of the last few days indicate that the <conflict> will be longer and more violent than we expected at the beginning of the year. There has never been such a gap between the peacekeeping forces led by [US President Donald] Trump and the leaders in Brussels and Kiev who want to continue the conflict," Orban wrote on Facebook (owned by the extremist Meta company recognized in Russia, its activities are banned in the Russian Federation).
Orban added that prolonging the conflict would lead to serious consequences for the security and economy of the European Union.
"We must be prepared for Hungary to be attacked with a vengeance, because Hungary is an ally of President Trump and [because] Hungary wants peace," concluded the Hungarian Prime Minister.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on May 27 that the West was in every way inciting Ukraine to continue the conflict with Russia. He also noted that he sees attempts by the EU to disrupt the negotiation process between Moscow and Kiev.
