Patrushev and Travnikov discussed a range of issues related to the development of the Novosibirsk region

Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, held a working meeting with Andrey Travnikov, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region. On June 2, the main topics of conversation were socio-economic development, the agro-industrial complex and environmental issues in the region.

The economy of the Novosibirsk region is developing dynamically, production is growing in various industries, including metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and other fields. Both budget revenues and social spending have increased. The volume of individual housing construction is growing significantly in the region.

Travnikov noted the positive dynamics following the results of 2024 in the livestock industry, in particular, meat production. Growth has also continued this year. Currently, five investment projects in various sectors of the economy are being implemented in the Novosibirsk region within the framework of the Institute of Curatorship. The total investment is estimated at 73 billion rubles. Patrushev pointed out that the region should pay special attention to increasing household incomes, creating high-performance jobs, and reducing unemployment.

At the meeting with the governor, he also discussed the results of the implementation of the Ecology national project in the region. For example, projects have been implemented in the Novosibirsk Region to eliminate unauthorized landfills, create municipal solid waste disposal facilities, clean water bodies and reforestation. More than 1.4 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal budget for these purposes. Also, within the framework of the new national project "Environmental well-being", launched in 2025, work in these areas will continue.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the reform of the municipal solid waste management system, in particular, the sustainable operation of regional operators.

On May 21, Patrushev discussed agricultural development and environmental issues in the region with Alexey Texler, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region. Texler said that this year the region plans to harvest more than 2 million tons of grain and about 260 thousand tons of oilseeds, as well as provide a feed base for livestock.
