Dmitry Olisov has been appointed as the new head of the Russian Federation Interests Section at the Swiss Embassy in Georgia. This was announced on June 2 by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"Dmitry Alexandrovich Olisov has been appointed head of the Interests section of the Russian Federation at the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Georgia," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
It is specified that Olisov graduated from MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in 2002. He speaks three foreign languages and holds the diplomatic rank of adviser of the 1st class.
Olisov has also been in the diplomatic service since 2002. He worked in various positions in the central office of the Ministry and abroad: at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Liepaja, the Republic of Latvia, the Permanent Mission of Russia to the European Union (EU), the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Germany.
Since December 2019, Olisov has held the position of Department Head in the fourth Department of the CIS countries.
On April 17, it was reported that Sergey Glazyev became the new state secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. It was clarified that the decision was made with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
