The Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened a case against a resident of Podolsk who beat her 10-year-old daughter.

A criminal case has been opened in Podolsk, Moscow Region, against a woman who beat her 10-year-old daughter and threatened to kill her. This was announced on June 2 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Moscow Region in its Telegram channel.

The incident occurred in an apartment building on Sosnovaya Street. It was established that a local resident born in 1988 was intoxicated and started a conflict with her minor child. A criminal case has been opened under Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Threat of murder or serious bodily harm").

"The offender was given a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior. The girl has been seized and is in a resource family," said Tatiana Petrova, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow Region.

The police sent the collected materials to the Commission on Juvenile Affairs and Protection of Their Rights for consideration and decision-making, according to the law.

On May 26, it was reported that the court had recovered from a resident of the Perm Region, who forced her adopted son to eat cigarette butts, monetary compensation in the amount of 150 thousand rubles for torturing children for almost two years. It was established that the woman used physical violence, insulted children and deprived them of food if, in her opinion, they did not perform their duties, for example, they did not clean the yard or at home. The court qualified the actions of the accused under Articles 117 ("Torture") and Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor").
