A case was opened in the Moscow region after the death of a child under the wheels of a tractor

A man who ran over a child with a tractor was detained in the Dmitrov city district of the Moscow region. This was reported on June 2 in the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

"A criminal case has been opened against a 35-year-old man. He is suspected of causing death by negligence to a 13-year—old child (Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the department's Telegram channel clarifies.

The Investigative Committee clarified that the suspect, driving a tractor, ran over a child standing next to him. The boy died on the spot from his injuries, after which the man hid his body in the river, where he was later discovered by fishermen.

Investigators are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the incident, and a preventive measure will be chosen for the suspect in the near future.

On May 28, in the city of Bronnitsy, Moscow region, a car hit a child in the courtyard of a house. The girl, born in 2022, was hospitalized, but died in hospital due to her injuries.
