Putin supported the proposal to create an All-Russian family assistance service


Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, June 2, supported the proposal of Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, to create an All-Russian family assistance service.
"I really ask for your decision to transform the All—Russian inspection that you commissioned into the All-Russian family Assistance service," Lvova-Belova.
She also stated that by 2030, "due to a family-friendly approach," the number of children in orphanages will be reduced by half. Now, according to her, there are 340 thousand orphans in Russia.
Putin, in turn, noted the effectiveness of the work carried out and supported Lvova-Belova's proposal to transform the All-Russian Inspectorate for the Prevention of Social Orphanhood (VISP) into the All-Russian Family Assistance Service.
On February 28, Lvova-Belova announced that the number of children in Russian social institutions has decreased from 60,000 to 53,000 since June 2024. According to her, such indicators were achieved during the VISP. Lvova-Belova also added that 4.5 thousand personal files of children were studied by the inspection specialists during the visits, 2.3 thousand were employed. At the same time, 500 children were returned to their families.
