An investor for the construction of the Surikov center is being sought in Krasnoyarsk

The Krasnoyarsk authorities have engaged in the selection of a contractor for the construction of the Surikov Center. It should be built behind the Vasily Surikov museum-estate.

The appearance of the cultural space will be timed to coincide with the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great artist. The project will be part of the preparations for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.

The winning bidder must carry out excavation work, build a two-story building with a basement, purchase equipment and equipment for the center, and improve the surrounding area. The initial cost of the contract is 484 million rubles.

Sergey Shikunov, deputy Head of the city's urban planning department, said that the contractor would start work in August.

Archaeologists are currently excavating the site, which is mandatory before the construction of the building begins. Earlier, experts identified two cultural layers. The work will continue until the end of June, while July will be a transitional month for contractor training. The Surikov center should be ready by July 2027, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

Earlier it was reported that 300 million rubles were allocated from the budget of the Krasnoyarsk Territory for the resettlement of 12 residential buildings recognized as emergency. The funds were allocated within the framework of the program "Creating conditions for providing affordable and comfortable housing."
