A road to Khalaktyrsky beach is under construction in Kamchatka. Lighting poles are being installed on one of the sections of the future highway. In addition, work is underway to profile the roadbed, build a bridge over the Krutoberegovy Creek, and dig a trench for laying cables for outdoor lighting.

Access to the new road will be closed until the completion of the work, KamchatkaMedia news agency writes with reference to the press service of the regional government.

According to Vitaly Gorshkov, Chief engineer of LLC "Kamchatdormorstroy", starting today, workers have begun preparations for asphalting. If the weather conditions are favorable, by the middle of July it will be possible to start asphalting directly.

The construction of the road is carried out as part of the implementation of the master plan approved by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Earlier it was reported that the Kamchatka Polytechnic College is awaiting major repairs. The educational institution became the winner of the competitive selection for major repairs at the expense of funds from the federal budget. In 2024, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation announced a competition for subsidies for the overhaul of vocational education facilities. In 2025, the federal program for the modernization of technical schools and colleges was launched. The priority was given to institutions participating in the federal project "Professionalism".
