The reason for the collapse of a part of the gym at Artyom's school has been named.

Experts have managed to establish the preliminary cause of the collapse of a part of the gym at a school in Artyom in Primorsky Krai.

The contractor committed gross violations during excavation work. This was stated by the head of the city district Vyacheslav Kwon, writes IA PrimaMedia.

It turned out that the builders had not taken into account the design features of the unburied foundation of the gymnasium when laying the drainage system along the main building of the school. This could have caused the collapse of part of the extension.

In the near future, specialists will examine the supporting structures and the foundation of the main building to prevent further damage.

Earlier it was reported that the collapse occurred during the overhaul of school No. 17 in Artyom. To prevent further destruction, the contractor plans to backfill with rocky soil.
