Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski conceded defeat in the second round of the presidential election in Poland. On June 2, he wrote about this on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

"I'm sorry that I failed to convince the majority of voters of my vision of Poland," he addressed his supporters.

In addition, Trzaskowski congratulated opposition candidate Karol Navrotsky on his victory in the last election.

"I congratulate Karol Nawrocki on his victory in the presidential election," the Polish politician added.

He called winning the election an obligation of the elected president, especially in "such difficult times" for Poland.

On June 2, the state Election Commission approved the victory of Karol Nawrocki, a candidate from the opposition Law and Justice party, in the second round of the Polish presidential election.
