At least 34 people have died as a result of floods and landslides in northeast India. This was reported on June 2 by the Indian NDTV channel.

"Over the past three days, at least 34 people have died as a result of floods and landslides in the northeastern states of Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and others," the report said.

It is specified that more than 10 thousand people were affected by the flash floods in Tripura.

Also in Assam, 764 villages in 19 districts were affected by flash floods. The water level in the Bramhaputra River, as well as in five other rivers, exceeds the danger level.
