Acceptance of applications for the Moscow Restoration contest has started

Applications for participation in the Moscow Restoration competition have begun in the capital, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"Individuals and legal entities who have completed repair and restoration work on architectural monuments in 2024-2025 can take part in the competition," the mayor wrote in his Telegram.
Applications are accepted until the end of August. There are nine nominations in the competition this year. There will also be a special award for young restorers. The winners will be selected by the jury members and users of the Active Citizen project.
The award ceremony will take place in December.
In 2024, restoration of 157 historical sites was completed in the capital. Among them is the house on Arbat, where A.S. Pushkin lived from February to May 1831. This is the only building in Moscow where the poet rented a separate apartment. Experts have put the balcony and roof in order and reinforced the walls. Inside, special attention was paid to the stucco ceiling decoration — cornices and sockets, as well as parquet.
