On International Children's Day, the Rosprirodnadzor prize "Ecology is everyone's business" opened a unique art object made of recycled plastic at the venue of the final match of the Russian Football Cup in Luzhniki, said Svetlana Radionova, head of the service. The photo zone is designed to draw the attention of tens of thousands of fans and visitors to the Olympic Complex to the problems of microplastic pollution and demonstrates the importance of recycling waste.

On June 1, a lot of family activities are planned at the Luzhniki Stadium on the site of the final match of the Russian Football Cup. The stand of the international children's and youth award "Ecology is everyone's business" was decorated with an ecological art object - a photo zone made of recycled plastic. Disposable tableware, caps and other plastic waste were used to create it. The object, which could be photographed by anyone, is designed to draw attention to the problems of microplastic pollution and the study of its impact on the environment and human health.

"Every time we use plastic packaging and throw it away, it doesn't disappear without a trace. Tiny particles are everywhere—in the water we drink, in the air we breathe, in the foods we eat. Scientists find microplastics in the environment, in the organisms of marine animals and birds, and in the human body too. But we can make a difference. Recycling is one of the most effective ways. Year after year, the participants of our Ecology is Everyone's Business award talk about how to give a second life to plastics. And it would be great if everyone would think about it, take more care of nature and reduce the burden on it," said Svetlana Radionova, head of Rosprirodnadzor.

Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management, thanked the Russian Football Union for providing a platform and the opportunity to introduce as many people as possible to environmental issues. The event in Luzhniki was attended by 59,000 residents and guests of the capital. The award team told the visitors of the photo zone with an ecological art object about how to create interesting plastic crafts with their own hands and at home. During the eco-education minutes, the guests were taught how to recycle recyclables, how to become participants in the award and which projects to protect nature are in demand.
