On Sakhalin, the police revealed the theft of about 15 million rubles, which were allocated to improve housing conditions. This was reported on June 2 by MIA Media in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that during the events, law enforcement officers detained a 35-year-old self-employed realtor and his 45-year-old accomplice. The department clarified that the men found citizens who met the conditions of the housing improvement program, as well as those who did not know about the possibility of receiving subsidies, and then concluded fictitious real estate purchase and sale agreements with them.

Three criminal cases have been opened into the incident. The circumstances of the case are currently being established.

Earlier, on May 28, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Kyzyl opened a criminal case for embezzlement of 2.7 million rubles for the supply of 40 LiAZ buses.
