A teacher was convicted in Krasnoyarsk for bullying a child with autism

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a special school teacher was brought to criminal responsibility for bullying and insulting a third-grade student with autism. This was announced on June 2 by the press service of the prosecutor's office in the region.
"From November 2023 to April 2024, a teacher from one of the Krasnoyarsk schools systematically bullied a student...> The boy did not know how to talk and could not defend himself," the department said.
Noticing the oddities in her son's behavior, the schoolboy's mother put a dictaphone in his briefcase, the recordings from which helped law enforcement officers to stop bullying.
At the same time, the woman stated at the trial that she did not consider her behavior towards the child to be cruel.
"The court found her guilty of failing to fulfill her duties of raising a minor, combined with ill—treatment (Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), sentenced her to compulsory labor for a period of 380 hours and recovered 200 thousand rubles in favor of the boy," the prosecutor's office said.
Earlier, on May 2, the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) launched an investigation into complaints of child abuse in a kindergarten in Chelyabinsk. In addition, a video showing child abuse was posted online. In this regard, a procedural check has been launched, the progress and results of which will be informed by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin.
