Goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev became the most decorated Russian football player.

Goalkeeper of the Moscow football team (FC) CSKA Igor Akinfeev became the most decorated Russian football player after his team's ninth victory at the Russian Cup.
The goalkeeper has won 22 trophies: eight of them were won in the Russian Cup, six in the Russian championship, seven in the Super Cup and one in the UEFA Cup match.
Thanks to the triumph in the penalty shootout, Igor Akinfeev surpassed Sergey Ignashevich and Yuri Zhirkov in the number of "cups".
According to the "Sport-Express", the goalkeeper remains in the team for the next season.
"How much more will Akinfeev play? I can say that there is still a season for sure. And then, as far as the physical condition allows. He's with us for next season," said Roman Babaev, CEO of CSKA Moscow.
Earlier, on June 1, FC CSKA beat Rostov in a penalty shootout and won the Russian Cup for the ninth time. By winning the Russian Cup, the capital's club repeated the tournament record previously held by another Moscow club, Lokomotiv.
