The Office of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Primorsky Territory has stopped the illegal activities of two local residents who were preparing arson on a section of the Far Eastern Railway. This was announced on Monday, June 2, by the press service of the department.

It is specified that two 19-year-old men tried to set fire to railway relay cabinets. They received such a task from the Ukrainian special services for a monetary reward.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact, and the detainees have been charged on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sabotage committed by a group of persons").

Igor Savchenko, chief of staff of the anti-terrorist commission in Primorye, said that the Ukrainian special services attract Russians to sabotage using the Internet, including on social networks and messengers.

"Recruiters usually give their "wards" detailed instructions on how to damage transport and other infrastructure and conceal traces of crimes," Savchenko explained.

On May 21, the Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan suppressed the illegal activities of a member of pro-Ukrainian organizations who was preparing a sabotage at one of the enterprises in Kazan. It is noted that the actions of a resident of Tatarstan were supervised by an unidentified representative of the Ukrainian side.
